WASHING MACHINE HAND OVER

The Michelle McLean Children Trust was delighted to hand over the washing machine as promised, together with Mr. Peter Ndaitwa, Under Secretary from the Ministry of Health & Social Services, to the Michelle McLean Children`s Ward at the Windhoek Central Hospital on the 9th floor, east wing.

As part of the Trust`s 21st Anniversary last year, we took on this project which originally was only planned to be 2 rooms, later a whole corridor and today - we proudly boast with 11 refurbished rooms and bathrooms, to the value of N$100 000, with the help of Windhoek Gymnasium High School, St George`s, Windhoek Afrikaanse Privaatskool, Windhoek Gymnasium Primary School as well as Mrs. Elma Hugo.

The Michelle McLean Children Trust also promised to sponsor a washing machine, Samsung 16KG top loader to the value of N$7999, to the ward so that the linen and curtains can be washed individually.

A special mention, once again, to Dr. Shalongo for allowing the Trust to take on such an inspiring project and especially to all the staff for always lending a helping hand.
