The Michelle McLean Children Trust Christmas Card Project was launched in 1997 and was a very popular annual project. Learners of primary schools were annually invited to take part in the Christmas Card competition by entering drawings with a Christmas theme. Twenty of these designs were then selected and printed with Christmas greetings in English, Afrikaans and German.

The Christmas cards were sold to businesses and the general public to raise funds for projects of the MMCT. Learners and schools in Namibia were annually encouraged to assist the MMCT in selling these cards, with the opportunity to win fantastic prizes for their schools as well as for themselves.
