Award of Excellence

Initiatives completed or supported by the MMCT in the past.

The MMCT each year invited all Namibian children in the age group 7 – 18 years to take part in the annual MMCT Award of Excellence competition.

Children had to enter by sending a detailed résumé with the necessary information which demonstrate their achievements. A motivation why they think they deserve to be the recipient of the MMCT Award of Excellence had to be included.

The following information must be included:
Full name, age, school, gender, postal address, telephone number, certified copy of ID, and a written approval of parents or guardian.

• The successful candidate received:
• A gold printed certificate signed by the patron, His Excellency Dr Sam Nujoma, Founding President of the Republic of Namibia and Michelle McLean, Chairperson of the Michelle McLean Children Trust.
• A cash price; and
• A floating trophy with his/her name on.

All submitted applications was judged by an external panel of judges. With this annual Award the Michelle McLean Children Trust demonstrated the value and appreciation they have for the achievements of the children of Namibia.
